Well its been forever since the last time blogged so i think its time to!
I said i would write about the Tree Stumps and Brush experience so here we go.
The first day was quite interesting. Arriving at the site early in the morning with a group of other guys we got started right away! Our job was to line up and walk a freshly plowed field and find and remove stumps out of a field that used to be part of a Christmas tree farm . We all had two pounds of mud (thanks to the large amounts of rain the day) in fifteen minutes of walking.Things went well until one of the guys in the group ( a college student) decided it would be brilliant to start singing a Veggy tales song to help pass the time. I wanted to beat the crap out of him for being so dumb but i held my self back and decided it wasn't my job to dig his grave. Not to berate the guy, he is a great guy but the next morning i wasn't surprised to find that none of the guys who were singing were not on the job.
The next day it was just me and my brother working.I worked with one of the two bosses. I dont remember his name but he was really cool. He asked me where i went to church and if i ever read the bible!! Not that there was much ever said. I pulled out every stump in a 10 acre area and dragged them to the skid steer bucket that followed me around. He helped by pulling out what he could with the edge of the bucket. My only regret at the end of the day was that i didnt have one of those tracker things that runners use to find out how far they have went. That's what i call real work. and now my fingers are dead. and your probably bored to tears!lol
